By accessing or using editingz (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, whether registered or unregistered.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

editingz provides a web-based platform offering 28+ PDF processing tools, including (but not limited to) merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, signing, redacting, comparing, translating, and summarizing PDF documents. The Service is accessible via web browsers on desktop and mobile devices.

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service or any feature thereof.

3.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the files and content you upload to editingz. We do not claim ownership of your documents. By uploading files, you grant editingz a limited, non-exclusive, temporary license to process your files solely for the purpose of delivering the requested service.

3.2 License to Process

By uploading files to our platform, you grant editingz the right to temporarily store, process, transform, and transmit your files as necessary to perform the PDF operation(s) you request. This license is strictly limited to the duration of the processing operation and the retention period described below.

3.3 Internal Use & Service Improvement

You acknowledge and agree that editingz may use anonymized, aggregated metadata derived from uploaded files (such as file size, page count, and processing type — but NOT the content of your documents) to improve our algorithms, optimize performance, develop new features, and enhance the overall quality of the Service. We will never read, analyze, or use the actual text, images, or content within your documents for any purpose other than performing the operation you requested.

3.4 File Retention

All uploaded and processed files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 2 hours of processing completion. We do not retain backups, archives, or copies of your files beyond this retention period. You may request immediate deletion at any time by contacting our support team.

3.5 Prohibited Content

You must not upload files that: (a) contain child sexual abuse material; (b) infringe on the intellectual property rights of others; (c) contain malware, viruses, or harmful code; (d) violate any applicable law or regulation; (e) promote violence, terrorism, or illegal activity; (f) contain content that is defamatory, obscene, or threatens the safety of others. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion.

3.6 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the files you upload and the content within them. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and licenses to upload and process the files using our Service.

4.1 Account Creation

Some features may require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

4.3 Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

5.1 Pricing

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Prices are listed on our pricing page and are subject to change with 30 days' notice. All prices are in US Dollars unless otherwise stated.

5.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selected plan. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

5.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all new paid subscriptions. If you are not satisfied, contact our support team within 30 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. Refunds for renewals are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5.4 Free Plan

The free tier of the Service is provided as-is with specific limitations (file size, batch processing, speed). We reserve the right to modify the features available in the free plan at any time.

You agree not to use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. Specifically, you shall not:

• Use the Service to process documents you do not have the right to modify or distribute. • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service. • Use automated bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service without our prior written consent. • Overload, flood, or interfere with the proper functioning of the Service. • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our internal systems. • Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or conduct phishing attacks. • Sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Service without our permission. • Circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or access restrictions.

7.1 Our Property

The Service, including its original content (excluding user-uploaded files), features, functionality, design, branding, and code, is and will remain the exclusive property of editingz and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

7.2 Trademarks

The editingz name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of editingz. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

7.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, develop, and incorporate such feedback into the Service.

8.1 As-Is Basis

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (b) the results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable; (c) any errors in the Service will be corrected.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL EDITINGZ, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY.

8.4 Data Loss

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, we are not liable for any loss or corruption of files during upload, processing, or download. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important documents.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless editingz and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights; (d) the content of files you upload to the Service.

10.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which editingz operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration association.

10.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
